Big Ben Photo Spots: Where to Take the Best Photos of Big Ben

The 2 Best Big Ben Photo Spots

After exploring Big Ben from various angles, I’ve narrowed down the two best spots for capturing stunning photos.

1. Under Westminster Bridge

While many visitors snap photos from Westminster Bridge itself, the real magic happens underneath. This hidden gem provides a breathtaking view of Big Ben, framed by the bridge’s arches, with the Thames River flowing between you and the iconic clock tower.
How to Get There: Simply cross Westminster Bridge to the opposite side of the river, making sure you're on the side facing Big Ben. Look for a staircase leading down to the riverside walkway. If you're unsure, a good nearby landmark to type into Google Maps is the National Covid Memorial Wall.
Fun Fact: The green paint on Westminster Bridge matches the color of the leather seats in the House of Commons!

2. The Classic Red Telephone Booth

Few things scream “London” more than a red telephone booth, and there’s one perfectly positioned for a legendary photo with Big Ben in the background. This is a must-capture shot for first-time visitors.
How to Find It: The best red telephone booth for this shot is located on Great George Street (A302), right next to the government offices and across from Parliament Square Garden.
  • If you're coming from Westminster Bridge, cross back over and continue straight past Big Ben—no turns necessary.
  • If arriving from Westminster Station, you’ll likely see Big Ben ahead of you. Walk towards it and turn right.
Tip: This is a popular photo spot, so expect a line if you visit during peak hours!

Best Time to Take Photos of Big Ben

Mornings are the best time for hassle-free photography.
We visited three times: twice on a Friday afternoon and once on a Monday morning.
  • On Friday afternoons, the streets were packed, queues for the telephone booth wrapped around the corner, and Westminster Bridge was crammed with tourists, street performers, and even gamblers. Navigating the area was a challenge.
  • On Monday morning, the contrast was striking—minimal crowds, just a few commuters, and perfect photo opportunities.
Avoid weekends and afternoons/evenings for a smoother experience!

Exploring Minimalist Interior Design

Exploring Minimalist Interior Design

In today's world, the concept of minimalism is widespread, advocating for the reduction of elements to their essential form. This principle extends beyond art and lifestyles, touching upon architecture and interior design as well. Minimalist interior design shares common ground with modern interior design, both embracing the use of fundamental elements to craft an uncluttered and straightforward living space. Characterized by its simplicity, clean lines, and a predominantly monochromatic palette with sparingly used accent colors, this style melds an open floor plan, abundant natural light, and functional furnishings, elevating the importance of form, color, and texture in a select few core elements.

All About Beagles: Key Information and Traits of the Breed

Beagles are gentle, playful hound dogs that love taking slow, leisurely walks and then spending lots of relaxing time beside their owners. Though small in size, they were originally bred for hunting, and to this day, their sense of smell guides almost everything they do. Their sharp noses make them a top pick for hunters chasing small game, and you’ll often see them working as detection dogs at U.S. borders, searching for illegal items. Beagles need plenty of daily physical activity and fit well into active family lifestyles. These small pups have long been a favorite among American families and consistently rank among the most popular dog breeds in the United States.
